What the tools do

Calculator inputs, search terms and comparison selections are processed in this page. They are not submitted to us or stored by these tools. Downloads are generated locally or served as static files. There are no account connections or email forms.

For product-link clicks, we also record a fixed button location category, such as a tool card or guide shortlist. We do not collect button text. We separately count attempted use of selected local tools and clicks on publication downloads, recording only a fixed tool identifier or published download filename, public page path, random session identifier, and event time. We never collect uploaded filenames, file contents, subtitle text, or tool input values. A download click does not prove a file was saved. Marked verification activity is excluded from normal interaction reports.

Audience measurement

We measure page views and product-link clicks using a random identifier in this tab’s session storage. It expires after 30 minutes without measured activity. A separate random browser identifier in this site’s local storage lasts up to 90 days and measures repeat browsers on this site only. Clearing site data resets it; storage restrictions can leave browser counts unknown. We do not fingerprint or identify unique people, or link browser identifiers across publications. We collect the publication, public page path, product identifier, referring hostname, event time, and an approximate country supplied by Cloudflare. A VPN or network routing can affect country accuracy. Query strings, form inputs, emails, precise location, and raw IP addresses are not stored in our analytics database. Cloudflare processes connection information to deliver and secure this service, including temporary abuse prevention. Events are retained for up to 90 days, with hourly cleanup. We honor Global Privacy Control and browser Do Not Track. Blocking scripts or storage may reduce measurement accuracy. Measurement is for our private editorial reporting. You can opt out through Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track and remove the identifier by clearing this site’s storage.

What this site stores

We use limited audience measurement to improve our guides. We do not use advertising scripts or collect calculator inputs. A hosting provider may receive normal request information such as IP address and requested URL to serve pages. This is different from the local calculation inputs.
